EDITORIAL BOARD

Our Editorial Team

Seven people write and check FX Textbook's articles: a trader, a former banker, an analyst, an engineer, editors and a compliance specialist. All of them work under pen names.

Message from the editor-in-chief

Information you can check, so readers do not lose out.

Information about offshore forex is full of rankings decided by advertising and articles that still list campaigns that ended long ago. Conditions change by broker, by account and by month, yet many pages never say when or where the information was checked.

At FX Textbook, a trader, a former banker, an analyst, an engineer, editors and a compliance specialist each lead the subjects they know best. We promise to give every figure a source and a review date, and to include unfavourable conditions rather than leave them out.

Our job is to remain a place where readers can check conditions and risks for themselves before opening an account.

POLICY

Our editorial commitments

  1. Official and primary sources only

We cite brokers' official websites and terms and public bodies such as Japan's Financial Services Agency and National Tax Agency. We do not cite other affiliate sites.

  2. Every figure has a review date

Figures and conditions are presented as checked on a stated date, and each article shows its publication and last-updated dates.

  3. Advertising does not move rankings

Our editorial ratings are shown separately from reader popularity (last month's account-opening clicks), and positions are never swapped for advertising fees.

  4. No forecasts or trading instructions

We never claim that a broker or method will make you money. We set out the facts you need to decide for yourself.

  5. Unfavourable facts are included

We do not leave out things you should know before applying, such as registration status, bonus withdrawal conditions or excluded countries.

PROCESS

How an article is made

  1. Research search terms

We check the words readers actually search for and the topics that leading articles cover.

  2. Collect primary sources

We gather facts from brokers' official pages, terms and help centres and from public bodies, recording the date each was retrieved.

  3. The subject lead writes

A team member who specialises in the subject writes the article, following the assignment table below.

  4. A second check

Figures are matched against their sources, and advertising disclosures and risk language are checked. SHIN reviews safety and tax articles.

  5. The editor-in-chief signs off

RYO gives the final check on sources, review dates and risk disclosures before publication.

  6. Updates when conditions change

We track campaign start and end dates and broker conditions, and update articles with a new date when something changes.
