Contract-spec figures are previous-day averages; the live price on your platform takes precedence.

| Extra (XAGUSDe) | 5.5 pips | USD 275 | None | 5,000 oz |
| VIP (XAGUSD) | 11 pips | Not listed | Variable | 5,000 oz |
※ XS says the spreads in the contract specifications are average spreads based on the previous trading day, and that live spreads should be checked on the trading platform. The VIP figure is copied as listed in the official table.
Euro-denominated silver (XAG/EUR) is also available on every account except Cent. Official contract-spec spreads are Elite 5 pips, Pro 5.6 pips, Standard 6 pips, Classic 6.6 pips, Extra 7.2 pips and VIP 7 pips (checked 6 October 2026).
Working out the cost of one lot of silver
One lot of XS silver is 5,000 oz (50 oz on the Cent account). Working back from the official "4.3 pips = USD 215", 1 pip is USD 50 on one lot and USD 0.5 on 0.01 lots.
| Account | Spread cost | Commission | Total | At 0.01 lots |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Elite | USD 165 | USD 6 | USD 171 | About USD 1.71 |
| Pro | USD 195 | None | USD 195 | USD 1.95 |
| Standard | USD 215 | None | USD 215 | USD 2.15 |
※ The commission is the figure in the official contract specifications (our broker page lists the Elite commission as USD 6 round turn per lot). Spreads are previous-day averages; your actual cost depends on the spread when your order fills.
On the official averages, Elite is cheapest even after commission, followed by Pro and then Standard. Pro and Elite, however, need a USD 500 minimum deposit, while Standard has no deposit minimum. Choose the account that fits your volume and capital.
XS silver trading hours and when spreads tend to widen
According to XS's official metals page, XAU, XAG, XPD and XPT pairs trade Monday to Friday from 01:05 to 23:55, with a trading break from 00:00 to 00:59 (checked 6 October 2026).
XS offers floating spreads on all account types and asset classes, and its contract-specs page warns that spreads may widen when market liquidity drops, including at rollover. Right after the open, around the trading break and around major economic releases, you may be filled at a spread wider than the average.
- Liquidity tends to thin around the 00:00–00:59 break and at rollover
- Spreads may widen along with price swings around economic releases
- Check the live spread on your trading screen before placing an order
How to check the live silver spread on your own account
XS's contract-specs page explains that MT4/MT5 charts show the pre-markup price by default, while Market Watch shows the price offered on your account type. Market Watch is the reliable place to check the improved spread.
- 01Log in to MT4 or MT5
Log in to MT4 or MT5 with the account you trade on (Standard, Pro and so on).
- 02Show the silver symbol in Market Watch
Add the silver symbol for your account type to Market Watch (for example XAGUSDs on Standard).
- 03Add the spread column and check it
Right-click in Market Watch and add the "Spread" column to see the current spread as a number.
Because the chart shows the pre-markup price, the gap between bid and ask on the chart is not necessarily your account's spread. Check the Market Watch price before you place an order.
