BingX KYC verification: steps, documents, time, limits without KYC (5x leverage, withdrawals), failure reasons

BingX identity verification (Advanced): web and app steps, documents, 2-10 minutes, limits without KYC (futures up to 5x), withdrawal cap, failure reasons.

At BingX, unless you complete identity verification (KYC), you cannot deposit, trade or use fiat currency, and futures leverage and open positions are also restricted. Using only articles from the BingX official help centre (checked 8 October 2026) as sources, this article sets out the identity verification (Advanced verification) steps for web and app, the documents required, the time needed, the difference between unverified and verified accounts, the reasons verification fails and how to fix them, and how the referral code is handled.

In short, BingX identity verification is a single step, 'Advanced verification': you submit a photo of an ID and a selfie holding the ID, and the result comes in 2-10 minutes. Without verification, deposits, trading, fiat currency and Launchpad cannot be used, and the 24-hour withdrawal limit is the equivalent of 20,000 USDT (5,000,000 USDT after verification). Japan is an eligible region for identity verification, but check the official Disclaimer for the latest list of restricted regions.

Conclusion: BingX identity verification is a single step, 'Advanced verification', takes 2-10 minutes, and without it you cannot deposit or trade

  • Identity verification (KYC) is the single step of Advanced verification. You submit a photo of an ID (ID card, passport or driver's licence) and a selfie holding the ID
  • It takes about 2-10 minutes (official FAQ). The result arrives in the app's 'Message Center'
  • Unverified: no deposits, no trading, no fiat currency, no Launchpad, and a 24-hour withdrawal limit equivalent to 20,000 USDT. After verification: no deposit limits and a 24-hour withdrawal limit equivalent to 5,000,000 USDT
  • Futures leverage is restricted in stages according to verification status; unverified accounts get up to 5x on some symbols and an open position cap of 2,000 USDT (official help; checked by this site on 3 September 2026)
  • After approval, KYC information cannot be corrected unless there is a legal change such as a name or nationality. The same ID cannot be used on more than one account
Premise of this article

Steps and restrictions are based on articles in the BingX official help centre (Japanese and English). The official site says that conditions including limits vary by region and that the product page display takes priority, so check the actual screens and limits after logging in. BingX is an overseas exchange that is not registered as a crypto-asset exchange service provider in Japan, and whether the Financial Services Agency (FSA) has issued a warning and which regions are restricted are covered in a separate column.

The result arrives in the Message Center in about 2-10 minutes. If it takes longer or stays pending, contact online support.

Enter the referral code at registration

According to the official Signup FAQ, even after registration, a referral code can be added only if you have not made a deposit (including deposits from other platforms and purchases via Buy Crypto) and have not invited anyone, from 'Profile Settings' > 'My Referrer' in the app or 'Account & Security' > 'My Referrer' on the web. Once linked, a code cannot be changed or removed. Registering through this site's exchange page applies this site's referral code, but the official help does not describe any benefits from a referral code, so check BingX's official guidance at registration.

Can you verify your identity on BingX from Japan? Restricted regions and the FSA announcements

The official FAQ says identity verification is available only to users in eligible countries/regions, and users in ineligible countries/regions cannot verify and cannot use any services. According to the official Signup FAQ, registration by email is possible in regions that are not on the Disclaimer's unsupported list. Whether residents of Japan can use BingX, whether the FSA has issued a warning to unregistered operators, and regional restrictions on CFD products are covered in a separate column.

Before using an overseas exchange

BingX is an overseas exchange that is not registered as a crypto-asset exchange service provider in Japan. It is outside the user protection of Japanese law, and in a dispute the operator's terms and the system of its place of establishment apply. When sending from a domestic exchange, Travel Rule restrictions on destinations apply, and if you make a profit you must file a final tax return in Japan.
