This article organises the cashback rates, fees, spending limits and application steps from the official card page, FAQ, fee table and card agreement, all checked on 19 October 2026.
By the end you will know whether you can apply and which fees apply to you. It does not recommend using the card, and Bitunix may change the conditions without notice.
In short: a Visa debit card with no issuance or annual fee; cashback of 1–8% by VIP level
- The Bitunix Card is a Visa debit card that spends USDT moved to the card account. It is not a credit card
- Cashback is 1–8% depending on your card VIP level and is paid in USDT (official FAQ)
- Issuance, monthly, annual and crypto conversion fees are 0. Non-USD payments carry a 1.5% FX fee and USD payments a 0.5% cross-border fee
- Spending limits are USD 10,000 per transaction and per day, and USD 50,000 per month
- Only a virtual card is issued today. The physical card has not launched
The official FAQ lists the physical card as Phase Two, so it cannot be applied for yet. In its notice to this site (19 October 2026) Bitunix said it is working towards a launch within the year. We will update this article once it is confirmed.
What is the Bitunix Card? How the Visa debit card works
The Bitunix Card lets you shop with the USDT in your Bitunix account. You move USDT from your spot or futures account to the card account, and each payment is converted to fiat at that moment. There is no credit line, so you can only spend what you hold.
According to the card agreement, the programme is arranged by Blue Rock Management Pte. Ltd. through partner financial institutions and payment processors. The card network is Visa.
| Item | Details |
|---|---|
| Card type | Visa debit card (virtual). Physical card not yet available |
| Launch | July 2026 (the official Academy article is dated 17 July) |
| Top-up asset | USDT only (other crypto assets planned; official FAQ) |
| How to top up | Transfer USDT from your spot or futures account to the card account |
| Activation | Transfer at least 100 USDT to the card account (a usable balance, not a fee; official Academy) |
| Where it works | Online at Visa merchants and in store via contactless (add to Apple Pay, Google Pay and others) |
| Cards per account | One virtual and one physical card per account (varies by region). Sub-accounts cannot apply |
| ATM | Not available on the virtual card (planned once the physical card launches) |
※ Adding the card to a wallet depends on each wallet's regional rules and risk checks (official card page).
Payments are taken only from the USDT moved to the card account. Nothing is deducted automatically from your spot or futures balances, so trading funds stay separate.
Bitunix Card cashback of up to 8%: VIP levels and how the cap is described
Cashback is paid in USDT on the settled amount of each payment. The rate depends on your Bitunix Card VIP level and ranges from 1% to 8% in the official FAQ. Temporary levels from a VIP trial card do not qualify.
The monthly cap is described differently across official sources. The FAQ says there is no cap, while the Academy article and the launch release say up to 1,000 USDT per month. The rate field on the official card page showed no figure on 19 October 2026.
Payments excluded from cashback
- Government, insurance and securities payments (official FAQ)
- Gambling and casino-related payments (official FAQ)
- Refunds, chargebacks, cash-like transactions and abusive use (official card page)
- Merchants located in the EEA or the United Kingdom (official Academy article)
A full refund cancels the cashback and a partial refund reduces it in proportion. Cashback is calculated on the payment amount excluding fees.
Up to 11.6% APR on the card balance, with conditions
The official Academy article and the launch release say eligible balances in the card account can earn up to 11.6% APR. The rate depends on the asset and the applicable conditions. The corresponding field on the official card page showed no figure on 19 October.
The rate can change and there is no protection like a bank deposit scheme. Avoid parking large sums in the card account for the yield alone.
Bitunix Card fees: 0 issuance, 1.5% FX and USD 0.3 on small payments
Issuance, monthly and annual fees and the crypto conversion fee are 0. Costs arise on payments in currencies other than USD, on USD payments as a cross-border fee, on payments under USD 10 and after 12 months without using the card.
| Item | Fee |
|---|---|
| Issuance (virtual) | 0 (free for now) |
| Monthly and annual fee | 0 |
| Crypto conversion | 0% |
| FX fee (non-USD payments) | 1.5% over the Visa exchange rate |
| Cross-border fee (USD payments) | 0.5% |
| Small transaction fee | USD 0.3 per payment under USD 10 (first 3 per month free) |
| Idle fee | USD 1 per month after 12 months without card transactions |
| Replacement, cancellation, failed payment | 0 |
| Chargeback | USD 50 per case |
| ATM withdrawal (physical card) | First USD 100 per month free, then 2% per withdrawal |
※ Merchant or third-party surcharges are not Bitunix fees. Fees can change, so check the figures shown when you apply.
Spending limits and ATM: USD 10,000 per day, USD 50,000 per month
| Item | Limit |
|---|---|
| Spending per transaction | USD 10,000 |
| Spending per day | USD 10,000 |
| Spending per month | USD 50,000 |
| ATM withdrawal per day (physical card) | USD 1,500 |
| ATM withdrawal per month (physical card) | USD 15,000 |
※ Limits may vary by country or region. ATM withdrawals only become available once the physical card launches.
Refunds are initiated by the merchant and usually return to the original payment method within 5 to 14 business days. They are converted at the rate on the refund date, so the amount can differ from the payment. Payment, FX and small-transaction fees are not refunded.

Can you apply from Japan? Excluded countries and what to check
Japan is not among the excluded countries and regions in Appendix 2 of the card agreement. The list is described as non-exhaustive and Bitunix updates it from time to time. The final decision is made on the application screen.
- Listed as excluded: Singapore, the United States, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, the United Arab Emirates, India, China and others (card agreement, Appendix 2)
- Merchants in the EEA and the United Kingdom are excluded from cashback (official Academy article)
- Eligibility is decided by residence and KYC country or region, and an application may be declined
The overseas crypto exchanges listed on this site are not registered with Japan's Financial Services Agency as crypto-asset exchange service providers and are outside Japan's user-protection framework. Card perks say nothing about an exchange's safety.
Five things to check before using the Bitunix Card
- KYC and address verification are complete, and your KYC country or region is eligible
- Only USDT can be loaded, and activation requires moving at least 100 USDT
- Non-USD payments carry a 1.5% FX fee and payments under USD 10 cost USD 0.3 each
- Report unauthorised or incorrect transactions within 14 days of the transaction date (card agreement)
- Tax: in Japan, the difference between your USDT acquisition cost and the yen value at payment is subject to income calculation (National Tax Agency Tax Answer No. 1524)
USDT received as cashback or interest counts as income at its market value when received. Confirm the specific treatment with your tax office or a tax adviser.

A. Between 1% and 8% depending on your card VIP level, paid in USDT (official FAQ). The monthly cap is described as "no cap" in the FAQ and as "up to 1,000 USDT" in the official Academy article. Check the figures shown when you apply.
Q. What are the Bitunix Card fees?
A. Issuance, monthly, annual and crypto conversion fees are 0. Non-USD payments carry a 1.5% FX fee and USD payments a 0.5% cross-border fee. Payments under USD 10 cost USD 0.3 each (first 3 per month free), and an idle fee of USD 1 per month applies after 12 months without use.
Q. Can I apply for the Bitunix Card from Japan?

Q. When will the physical Bitunix Card be issued?
A. The official FAQ lists it as Phase Two, and it could not be applied for as of 19 October 2026. In its notice to this site, Bitunix said it is working towards a launch within the year. The issuance fee is quoted by delivery location.
Q. Is paying with the Bitunix Card taxable in Japan?
A.
