DecodeFX app, MT4 and MT5: downloads, login steps and how to choose a platform

DecodeFX app, MT4 and MT5 compared: what the app does, MT4/MT5 downloads, the login ID, password and server name you need, and MT5's 21 timeframes.

DecodeFX supports the DecodeFX App (iOS/Android), MT4 and MT5 (this site's broker page, checked 4 August 2026). The DecodeFX App brings multi-asset trading and account management together in one screen, while MT4 and MT5 are dedicated trading platforms with indicators and EA (automated trading) support.

This article draws on DecodeFX's official platform pages (checked 26 September 2026) to cover what the DecodeFX App can do, the features and downloads for MT4 and MT5, the login ID, password and server name you need, how to choose between them, and what to check if you cannot log in. Where the official site does not document a specific procedure — such as resetting a forgotten password — we do not invent steps; we simply say to follow official support's guidance.

In short: DecodeFX App, MT4 and MT5 — which one suits you

  • DecodeFX App (iOS/Android, free): multi-asset trading, account management, deposits/withdrawals and identity verification all in the app (official, checked 26 September 2026)
  • MT4: 50+ indicators, EA (automated trading), MT4 Trading Signals, Autochartist
  • MT5: 21 timeframes, 80+ analytical tools, multiple chart display, an economic calendar and news, MQL5
  • Whichever you use, the login credentials are the login ID, password and server name shown in your DecodeFX account confirmation email
Trading carries risk

Whichever platform you use, leveraged FX/CFD trading can result in losses exceeding your deposit. Trying a demo account before trading live is one way to get comfortable with the interface.

  • Also included: MT4 Trading Signals, Autochartist
  • Instruments: forex, indices, commodities, crypto, stocks (CFDs)
Traders who want EAs should use MT4 or MT5

The DecodeFX App does not mention EA support, so if you want automated trading via an EA, you need MT4 or MT5.

MT5: features and downloads

MT5 is also available for Windows, MacOS, iOS and Android. The Windows installer is linked from the official page (https://download.mql5.com/cdn/web/decode.global.limited/mt5/decodeglobal5setup.exe), checked 26 September 2026. It supports both live and demo accounts.

  • Timeframes: 21
  • Analytical tools: 80+

  • Information: an economic calendar and news
  • Strategy tester: multi-currency support
  • Also included: hedging, MQL5, 6 order types (market, limit, stop, stop-limit, etc.), partial fills and an execution policy

Compared with MT4, MT5 offers more timeframes and analytical tools, plus a multi-currency strategy tester and hedging support. Both work for discretionary and EA-based trading, but MT5 suits traders who want the wider feature set.

What you need to log in: login ID, password and server name

Logging in to MT4 or MT5 requires three pieces of information: your login ID, password and server name. DecodeFX's official pages (checked 26 September 2026) state that all three are 'the server name shown in your DecodeFX account confirmation email.'

  1. 01
Complete account opening and identity verification

According to this site's account-opening flow, you confirm your country of residence and the contracting entity on the registration screen, then complete your profile and identity verification.

  2. 02
Choose your account and trading environment

Select the account type you want (STD, PRO or CENT) and a trading environment — MT4, MT5 or the DecodeFX App.

  3. 03
Check your login details in the account confirmation email

Your login ID, password and server name are all included in the confirmation email DecodeFX sends you.

  4. 04
Log in to MT4 or MT5

Open MT4 or MT5 and enter the login ID, password and server name from your confirmation email.

The app login follows its own on-screen guidance

The official pages do not document a dedicated login procedure for the DecodeFX App. Follow the on-screen instructions in the app.

Choosing a platform: EAs, timeframes and mobile-only use

Each of the three options suits a different way of trading.

  • Want to run an EA (automated trading): use MT4 or MT5
  • Want more timeframes and analytical tools: MT5 (21 timeframes, 80+ tools)
  • Want deposits, withdrawals and identity verification to work entirely from your phone: the DecodeFX App
  • Want to trade multiple asset classes, including crypto and stock CFDs, from one screen: the DecodeFX App (1,000+ instruments)
You can use more than one platform

This site's broker page (checked 4 August 2026) lists the DecodeFX App, MT4, MT5 and the API as supported platforms for all of STD, PRO and CENT. You can switch between the app and MT4/MT5 on the same account depending on the situation.

Checks to run if you cannot log in

  • Does the server name match exactly what is shown in your account confirmation email?
  • Are you mixing up your live and demo accounts? (Each has separate login details)
  • Do your login ID and password match the confirmation email exactly?
  • Has identity verification been completed? (It is required as part of the account-opening flow)
  • If none of the above resolves it, contact official support (email, official LINE, live chat)
Check the password reset procedure with official support

DecodeFX's official help centre (checked 26 September 2026) does not appear to have a dedicated page describing the password-reset procedure. Rather than guessing the steps, follow the instructions on the login screen or contact official support.
