In short, the maximum leverage is 1:2000 on all three accounts. The stop out and margin call levels have no single stated figure on the official site (checked 17 October 2026).

This article shows the margin needed at 2000x. It also shows how to work backwards to a trade size when the level is unknown.

DecodeFX leverage is up to 2000x: no stop out level on the official site

  • Maximum leverage: up to 1:2000 on all three accounts (STD, PRO and CENT)
  • Scope: the official site says "up to 2,000x on major currency pairs". Limits for other instruments are not stated

Do not apply another broker's level

Stop out levels differ by broker and account type. Do not apply another broker's figure to DecodeFX. Check the value for your own account in the account screen or with support.

This is based on DecodeFX's official account types page and Help Centre (checked 17 October 2026). The maximum leverage of the three accounts is stated. The level percentage appears on neither.

How does DecodeFX's 2000x leverage work by account?

Maximum leverage: official account types page, checked 17 October 2026. Spreads and other items: this site's broker page, checked 4 August 2026
AccountMaximum leverageFeatures listed on this site
STDUp to 1:2000From 0.34 pips, no commission (IB setting via this site; the official figure is 0.9 pips)
PROUp to 1:2000From 0.0 pips, $7 per standard lot (setting via this site; the official figure is $5 round turn)
CENTUp to 1:2000From 1.7 pips, no commission, minimum deposit USD 1

※ The official wording is "up to 2,000x on major currency pairs". The official site states no limits by account balance or instrument, so this site lists it as "up to 1:2000*" with an asterisk. The client portal display takes priority for the actual value.

The official text gives only the upper limit. Limits by instrument, such as gold or stock indices, cannot be confirmed. Check the ratio for the instrument you trade in your account screen.

Margin needed at 2000x leverage: worked examples for 1 lot and 3 lots

Required margin is trade value divided by leverage. If USD/JPY is JPY 150, a trade of 1 lot (assumed to be 100,000 units) is worth JPY 15,000,000.

Worked example assuming USD/JPY at JPY 150 and 1 lot = 100,000 units (not a DecodeFX contract specification)
LeverageMargin for 1 lotMargin for 3 lots
100xJPY 150,000JPY 450,000
500xJPY 30,000JPY 90,000
1000xJPY 15,000JPY 45,000
2000xJPY 7,500JPY 22,500

※ The number of units in 1 lot differs by account. Check the actual contract size in the instrument specification in your trading platform.

On USD/JPY, a 1 pip move on 1 lot is a profit or loss of JPY 1,000. On 3 lots, 1 pip is JPY 3,000.

Leverage only reduces the margin required

At 2000x, the profit or loss per pip does not change. Less margin lets you hold a larger position. A small adverse move then cuts your balance by a large amount.

DecodeFX's stop out and loss cut level: what we found on the official pages

Stop out is the margin level at which positions are force-closed. It is used with the same meaning as loss cut. Margin call is a warning level that appears before a forced close.

Results of checking DecodeFX's official pages and this site (checked 17 October 2026)
Where we checkedWhat we could confirm
Official account types page (Japanese)Maximum leverage is stated. Margin call and stop out levels are not stated
Official account types page (English-version URL)Same as the Japanese page. No level stated
Official Help CentreLeverage risk warning only. No level stated
This site's broker pageStop out level is listed as "check account and conditions"

※ The levels cannot be read from the public pages, so this site does not print a guessed figure. The loss cut calculation comparison article also lists DecodeFX as "check the official site".

How to check the level for your own account

  1. 01
Look for the level in your account screen

Open the client portal and the account information in MT4 or MT5. The official site does not say whether a level is shown. If you cannot find it, go to the next step.

  2. 02
Ask support for the percentages by account type

Ask for the margin call and stop out percentages of the account you will use: STD, PRO or CENT. Japanese-language support is open weekdays 9:00-17:00 at jpsupport@decodefx.com (official Japanese introduction site, checked 18 September 2026).

  3. 03
    Keep the reply on record

Save the email or chat reply. If it later differs from the terms, it shows what you checked.

Working back to a safe adverse move when the level is unknown

When the level is unknown, calculate with several levels to see your margin of safety. The table below assumes levels of 0%, 20% and 50%.

Assumed calculation: balance JPY 100,000, USD/JPY 3 lots, leverage 2000x (required margin JPY 22,500). These are not DecodeFX's actual levels
Assumed levelEquity at close-outFloating loss allowedAdverse move allowed
0%JPY 0JPY 100,000About 33.3 pips
20%JPY 4,500JPY 95,500About 31.8 pips
50%JPY 11,250JPY 88,750About 29.6 pips

※ This is a simple calculation that excludes spreads, swaps and commission. It treats 3 lots as a JPY 3,000 profit or loss per pip.

In this example, the gap between a 0% level and a 50% level is only about 3.7 pips. With 1 lot on the same balance, you could withstand about 100 pips at a 0% level. Lot size matters more than the level.

  • Decide the adverse move you expect (in pips) before placing the order
  • Multiply the profit or loss per pip by the number of lots to get the loss on that move
  • Compare that loss with your balance, then set the number of lots
  • Once you know the level, recalculate with the same formula

DecodeFX's zero cut is by application: how it differs from loss cut

Zero cut is a mechanism where the broker absorbs the negative amount when the loss cut is too late and the balance goes below zero. The FAQ on the official account types page answers: "We provide negative balance protection (zero cut)."

However, you must apply each time the account balance goes negative. The page tells you to email the company if you want it. It is not applied automatically.

  • If a negative balance occurs, apply to support
  • Conditions and excluded trades: no detail in the official FAQ
  • Check the fine print in the customer agreement that applies to you
Zero cut does not prevent losses

Zero cut covers only the excess that went negative. Funds lost before the loss cut are not returned. You may lose your entire deposit.

Frequently asked questions

Q. What is DecodeFX's maximum leverage?

A. It is up to 1:2000 on all three accounts: STD, PRO and CENT. The official site says "up to 2,000x on major currency pairs" (checked 17 October 2026). Limits by instrument or balance are not stated officially, so check the actual value in the client portal.

Q. What is DecodeFX's stop out level?

A. No single figure is stated on the official account types page or Help Centre (checked 17 October 2026). This site does not print a guessed figure either. Check the value for your account type in the account screen or with Japanese-language support.

Q. What is DecodeFX's margin call level?

A. As with the stop out level, no single figure is stated on the official site. A margin call is a warning level that appears before a forced close. Ask support for the value by account type and save the reply to be sure.

Q. How much margin does 2000x leverage need at DecodeFX?

A. Assuming USD/JPY at JPY 150 and 1 lot = 100,000 units, it is JPY 7,500 at 2000x (trade value JPY 15,000,000 divided by 2000). The number of units in 1 lot differs by account, so check the instrument specification in your trading platform.

Q. How can I avoid being stopped out at DecodeFX?

A. Lot size matters more than the level percentage. Multiply the adverse move you expect (in pips) by the profit or loss per pip and the number of lots. Compare that loss with your balance to set your trade size. Recalculate with the same formula once you know the level.

Q. Is DecodeFX's zero cut applied automatically?

A. No. The official FAQ states that you must apply each time the account balance goes negative. If a negative balance occurs, contact support by email.
