XMTrading Account Types Compared (2026): Standard, Micro, Zero and KIWAMI Spreads, Fees and Leverage

XMTrading account types compared: Standard and Micro from 1.0 pips, KIWAMI from 0.6, Zero from 0 pips. All four list a USD 5 minimum and 20% stop out.

XMTrading (often called XM) offers four live accounts, and the names alone do not tell you which one to open. Account type cannot be changed after opening, so the first choice matters.

The short answer: Standard and Micro suit a simple start, KIWAMI lowers the spread, and Zero adds a commission in exchange for a spread from 0 pips. We checked the official account types page on 20 October 2026. All four list a minimum deposit of USD 5.

Below you will find a side-by-side table, the points that differ, and a checklist for choosing.

XMTrading account types: which one fits you

  • Standard: from 1.0 pips, no trading commission, up to 1:1000. The default account created at registration.
  • Micro: same published terms as Standard. This site lists it for traders who want smaller trading units.
  • KIWAMI: from 0.6 pips, no trading commission, up to 1:1000. The deposit bonus is marked as not applicable.
  • Zero: from 0 pips plus a commission, up to 1:500. The deposit bonus is marked as not applicable.
  • All four: USD 5 minimum deposit, 20% stop out, swap-free, base currency USD, EUR or JPY.

If you want the simplest start, Standard fits. If you want a lower spread without a commission, compare KIWAMI. If you want to compare spread and commission together, Zero is the account to check.

The spread is the gap between the buy and sell price, and it is a trading cost. A commission is a separate fee charged per trade. Zero shows a low spread, but the commission is part of the real cost.

XM Standard and Micro account: what is the difference

On the official page, the Standard and Micro accounts show the same published terms. Both list a spread from 1.0 pips, a USD 5 minimum deposit and a 20% stop out. Both list a 100% deposit bonus, subject to the terms.

  • Standard is the account created automatically at registration, with 1000:1 leverage and JPY as the base currency.
  • Micro is listed on this site for traders who want to consider smaller trading units.
  • The contract size of each account is not stated on the account types page. Check it in the client portal before you trade.
Check before you open

Because the published conditions are the same, the practical difference between Standard and Micro is the trading unit. Confirm the unit shown in the client portal first.

XM Zero account and KIWAMI account explained

XM Zero account: from 0 pips with a commission

  • Spread: from 0 pips.
  • Commission: USD 10 per USD 100,000 traded (terms apply).

  • Deposit bonus: marked as not applicable on the official page.

XM KIWAMI account: from 0.6 pips, no commission

  • Spread: from 0.6 pips, tighter than Standard and Micro.
  • Commission: no trading commission (terms apply).
  • Maximum leverage: 1:1000.

All four accounts show an account-opening bonus on the official page. The deposit bonus is listed for Standard and Micro only. This column does not list bonus amounts. Read the current bonus terms before you rely on any offer.
