BingX copy trading: how it works, fees, profit share and how to start

BingX copy trading on 4 Nov 2026: copy fee 0, profit share 8-13% standard, 10-32% perpetual. How to start and stop, and the lag and leverage risks.

Before you start BingX copy trading, you may want to know what it costs on top of trading fees.

According to the official help checked on 4 November 2026, the copy fee is 0. You pay the normal trading fee, plus a profit share only when the period ends in profit: 8-13% on standard futures and 10-32% on perpetual futures.

This guide covers the profit-share math, the steps to start, and what happens to your funds when you stop. It also sets out the risks first.

BingX copy trading fees: copy fee 0, trading fee plus profit share

Illustration of BingX copy trading costs: trading fee same as usual, profit share 8-32%, copy fee 0
  • The futures copy fee is 0 (per the official parameter list)
  • The trading fee is the same as normal trading. VIP 0 perpetual futures: maker 0.02%, taker 0.05%
  • Profit share applies only when the period's net PnL is positive: 8-13% standard, 10-32% perpetual
  • If net PnL is negative, the share is 0, but you still bear the loss
  • Two copy modes exist: fixed ratio and fixed amount. The minimum investment differs by trader
  • Stopping a copy closes positions at market and returns funds to your perpetual futures account

Copy trading can lose money

Copying other traders carries a high level of risk, even when you copy top performers. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results (BingX risk warning). Futures can be liquidated and you can lose your margin.

Standard futures (all levels)0.045%0.045%

Opening and closing a 1,000 USDT position as taker costs 1.0 USDT round trip. Perpetual rates fall as your VIP level rises.

Since 23 April 2026, copy order size is calculated with the taker fee rate that applies to your own account. The change reduces position gaps against the trader.

Spot copying follows the spot trading fee list (VIP 0 is 0.10%). A copy trading sub-account uses the VIP 0 rate by default (official FAQ, May 2025).

BingX copy trading profit share ratios: standard futures 8% Bronze to 13% Diamond, perpetual futures 10% to 32%

The profit-share ratio depends on the trader's level: Bronze, Silver, Gold or Diamond. Two copy orders can carry different ratios.

Profit-share math: zero when net PnL is negative

Profit-share example: with net PnL of 100 USDT, a 10% share is 10 USDT, 20% is 20 USDT, 32% is 32 USDT, and a negative net PnL gives 0

The official formula is profit share = total net PnL for the period x share ratio. A negative result becomes 0.

Net PnL is realized PnL minus trading fees. Only fully closed orders count toward the share.

This site's calculation with hypothetical figures (based on the official formula). Trading fees are assumed to be inside net PnL

+100 USDT20%20 USDT80 USDT
+100 USDT32%32 USDT68 USDT
-50 USDTAny ratio0 USDT-50 USDT
The share does not offset your losses

A negative net PnL means no share, but the loss itself is not refunded. A copy trading insurance coupon covers a negative cumulative PnL up to its face value, only if you hold one.

Copy modes and minimum investment: fixed ratio vs fixed amount

BingX copy modes compared: fixed ratio follows the trader's margin ratio, fixed amount places each order with a set margin

In the November 2025 redesign, the old position copy became fixed ratio and the old per-order copy became fixed amount.

Official exampleUsing 1,000 of 2,000 is 50%. Your 1,000 places 500Margin 30 with funds 90 allows up to 3 trades
Where it failsFails if the calculated margin is below the minimum orderFails if margin is below the minimum
  • The minimum investment is set per trader, and your balance after withdrawal cannot fall below it
  • Margin cap per order: 10,000 USDT on perpetual (fixed amount) and 100,000 USDT on standard futures (2023 parameter list)
  • For existing positions, choose copy all, copy none, or pick which to copy
  • Setting trading pairs to 'same as trader' also copies newly listed pairs automatically
Common reasons a copy fails

Your margin is short, the margin mode (isolated or cross) differs, a maximum holding limit is exceeded, or the maximum slippage is exceeded. If the trader uses multi-asset mode, copying fails.

Finding traders on BingX copy trading: what to check and what numbers do not promise

Five items to check on a trader: maximum drawdown, risk-adjusted return, AUM and principal, copier profit, pairs and leverage

The Copy Trading Center sorts traders by 12 metrics across 4 time frames. It also has platform-curated Smart Rankings and a new-trader section.

  • Sort metrics include PnL rate, PnL amount, maximum drawdown, risk-adjusted return, risk score, AUM and number of copiers
  • Risk-adjusted return is excess return per unit of risk (official description, January 2026)
  • The equity curve, drawdown, AUM and principal appear on each trader card
  • You can copy up to 20 traders at once (official FAQ, May 2025)

The official FAQ explains that a follower can lose even when the trader profits. Hedging, grid, martingale and high-frequency strategies need positions to match exactly, and they may not.

Numbers do not show future results

BingX's risk warning says past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results. This site does not recommend any trader.

For reference: becoming a trader

A futures trader application gets an immediate automatic result once you meet conditions such as account assets of at least 110 USDT. A separate route for social followers returns a result within 24 hours, with one application a month (official English page, 16 April 2025). Criteria can change, so check the application screen.

Three places to check on the official page: settlement, leverage, fees

BingX copy trading parameter page with the maximum leverage, profit-share settlement and trading fee rows marked by number

The help article 'Traders: list of BingX Copy Trading parameters' can be read without logging in. Look at the settlement, leverage and fee rows.

  1. 01
Open the article in the Help Center

Search for the copy trading parameters. Tables for standard and perpetual futures appear.

  2. 02
    Read the profit-share settlement row

Perpetual futures settle weekly on Monday, and standard futures daily.

  3. 03
    Read the trading fee row

Perpetual copy orders use the same rate as normal trading.

Actual values take priority

The end of the article says that if the listed parameters differ from the actual ones, the actual ones apply. Check the share ratio on the trader's copy screen.

Stopping a copy and withdrawing: where your funds go

What happens when you stop a copy: stop copy, close at market, funds return to the perpetual futures account

To stop, open the trader's card under Copy Orders, tap Stop Copying and confirm.

BingX official help (14 May 2025 and February 2023) and Copy Trading Center FAQ (checked 4 November 2026)
ActionWhat happens to funds and positions
Stop copyingOpen copied positions close at market. Funds return to the perpetual futures account
Profit share at stopThe system holds the trader's share for now and pays it in the next settlement cycle
Take-profit or stop-loss triggersThe copy stops automatically and funds return to the funding account (2023 help). A 'keep copying after take-profit' option was added in November 2025
Adjust funds (withdraw)Done from the copy order details. The balance cannot fall below the minimum investment
Insurance coupon in useIf PnL is negative at stop, it settles up to the face value
Gold/forex works differently

Ending a CFD copy closes all copied positions and settles that cycle's performance fee. The registration and management fees are not refunded.

BingX copy trading risks: lag, leverage and losses

Three copy trading risks: lag makes prices differ, leverage causes liquidation, losses put capital at risk
BingX official help (February 2023, May 2025 and April 2026) and Copy Trading Center FAQ (checked 4 November 2026)
RiskWhat can happen
LagExecution time and liquidity shift fill prices, so your PnL differs from the trader's
SlippageCopies fail if maximum slippage is exceeded. Zero-slippage copying is off by default
LeverageHigh leverage puts liquidation price close. Liquidation can wipe out margin
Position capOn thin pairs, a per-trader total cap can stop new copies
Trader dependenceHeavy leverage on obscure pairs can leave only followers with losses
Futures can lose money

Crypto futures are volatile and liquidation can wipe out the margin you put in. Copying still uses your own money. Use only funds you can afford to lose, and set take-profit and stop-loss before you start.

Editorial verdict: four checks before you start

Four checks before starting: cost estimate, loss cap, minimum investment, trader data

Estimate the trading fee and net PnL x share ratio.

  2. 02
    Set a loss limit
