Exness Leverage Explained: 1:2000, Unlimited Leverage Conditions, Margin Call and 0% Stop Out

Exness leverage: 1:2000 by default, unlimited only if eligible (under USD 5,000 equity, 10 closed orders). Margin call 60% or 30%, stop out 0%.

Exness advertises 1:2000 leverage and even unlimited leverage, but the conditions are easy to misread. Many traders also want to know when positions are closed automatically.

The official Help Centre (checked 20 October 2026) sets the maximum at 1:2000 for equity up to USD 29,999.99. Unlimited leverage needs extra conditions, and the stop out is 0% on every account type.

This article lists the leverage tiers, the unlimited leverage conditions, and the margin call and stop out levels. You can then check your own account before you trade.

Exness leverage, margin call and stop out: the short answer

  • Maximum leverage depends on account equity. It is 1:2000 by default for equity up to USD 29,999.99.
  • Unlimited leverage is not the default. It appears only for real accounts with equity under USD 5,000 and a trading history.
  • Margin call is 60% on Standard Cent and Standard, and 30% on Pro, Raw Spread and Zero.
  • Stop out is 0% on all five account types. Clients of the Kenyan and Jordanian entities have 20%.
  • Leverage cannot be disabled, and the minimum setting is 1:2.
Higher leverage also amplifies losses

The official Help Centre says higher leverage amplifies losses as well as gains. A 0% stop out means positions stay open until the margin level reaches 0%. FX and CFD trading can lose some or all of your funds.

Exness leverage by account equity: 1:2000 down to 1:500

Leverage is the ratio between your equity and the capital provided by the broker. It sets the margin needed for an open order. The official Help Centre states that the available maximum depends on current account equity, among other factors.

※ Clients registered with Exness (KE) Limited, the Kenyan entity, have a maximum of 1:400.

Other leverage rules stated officially

  • The minimum leverage setting is 1:2.
  • Leverage cannot be disabled.
  • Leverage may be reduced during High Margin Requirement (HMR) periods.
  • Margin requirements for selected instruments are changing from fixed to dynamic.

The official page links to separate articles for HMR and the affected instruments. The details of those articles are not reproduced here. Check them in the Help Centre before trading around major events.

Exness unlimited leverage: eligibility conditions and limits

Unlimited leverage is the highest leverage setting for account types that support it. The official page says it is not available to all traders by default and is intended for experienced traders. On real accounts, the option becomes selectable only when specific conditions are met.

ConditionDetails
Account equityLess than USD 5,000 on the real trading account
Trading historyAt least 10 closed orders, excluding pending orders
Minimum volumeCombined value of 5 lots (or 500 cent lots) across all real accounts in the Personal Area
If not metThe unlimited leverage option does not appear in the leverage settings

Instruments covered by unlimited leverage

  • Forex: all majors and minors, DXY, USDCNH, HKDJPY, USDHKD and USDTHB.
  • Metals: gold (XAU) and silver (XAG) pairs only.
  • Any instrument not listed is not eligible, even on a qualifying account.

On demo accounts the option is always selectable. It applies only while equity is USD 4,999.99 or less. Above that, actual leverage follows the standard equity ranges.

Exness margin call and 0% stop out levels by account type

A margin call is a warning that the margin level has fallen to the stated level. The stop out is the margin level at which positions are closed automatically. The official Help Centre sets both by account type.

AccountMargin callStop out
Standard Cent60%0%
Standard60%0%
Pro30%0%
Raw Spread30%0%
Zero30%0%

※ For stocks, the stop out level can be increased to 100% in case of increased market risk.

  • Clients registered through Exness (KE) Limited and Exness (JO) Limited have a 20% stop out.
  • The applicable entity is shown at registration, so confirm it before you fund an account.
  • Stop Out Protection is a feature designed to delay, and sometimes avoid, a stop out.
  • Stop Out Protection may not be available on accounts set to unlimited leverage.
A 0% stop out leaves less room for error

Positions are not closed until the margin level reaches 0%. Unrealised losses can therefore grow close to the full account balance. The official page notes that stop orders and limit orders are tools to mitigate potential loss.

How Exness leverage changes the margin you need

Required margin is the position value divided by the leverage ratio. A higher ratio means less margin per position. It also means a small price move affects a larger share of your equity.

Arithmetic from the leverage ratios on the Exness Help Centre (checked 20 October 2026)
LeverageMargin as share of position value
1:2000.5%
1:5000.2%
1:10000.1%
1:20000.05%

※ Margin requirements for selected instruments are moving from fixed to dynamic, so the margin shown in your platform takes precedence.

  • Higher leverage lets you open larger positions with the same equity.
  • Margin level falls faster when the position is large relative to equity.
  • The margin call level depends on the account type, as shown in the table above.
