Exness vs HFM on spreads, leverage, stop out and bonuses: Exness stops out at 0%, HFM at 20% on most accounts. See which fits you. Checked 20 Oct 2026.

Choosing between Exness and HFM is hard when each site shows its own numbers in its own format. A fair comparison needs the same items side by side: spreads, commissions, leverage, stop out and bonuses.

The short answer is that the two brokers suit different priorities. Exness lists a 0% stop out on all five accounts. HFM lists six accounts, a 20% stop out on most of them and a Top-Up Bonus account (checked 20 October 2026).

After reading, you can match your own priority to one of the two and know which figures to confirm in the client portal before you deposit.

Exness or HFM: the short answer

  • Lowest listed spread: the same on both. Exness from 0.0 pips (Raw Spread, Zero); HFM from 0 pips on forex (Zero)
  • Lowest commission-free spread: Exness from 0.1 pips (Pro); HFM from 0.3 pips (KATANA, USD 500 minimum deposit)
  • Stop out: Exness 0% on all five accounts; HFM 20% on five accounts and 0% on KATANA
  • Bonus: HFM lists a Top-Up 20% standing bonus on this site; no Exness bonus could be confirmed
  • Both list MT4 and MT5; HFM also lists WebTrader and its own app
How to read this comparison

Spreads are listed minimums, not the value you will get at the time of a trade. Each broker's own page and your client portal take priority over this article. Leveraged trading can lose some or all of your deposit.

Exness vs HFM spreads and account types

Exness lists five accounts: Standard Cent, Standard, Pro, Raw Spread and Zero. HFM lists six: KATANA, CENT, ZERO, PRO, PREMIUM and TOP-UP BONUS. The table puts the main figures side by side.

※ Exness lists a minimum initial deposit as region-based for Pro, Raw Spread and Zero and does not state an amount in the article checked. Its general deposit rules page says Standard and Professional accounts both have region-based minimums. HFM spreads are variable. HFM Zero commission is from this site's HFM data, not the official table.

A spread is the gap between the buy and sell price. A commission is a separate fee per lot. Compare the two together, because an account with a 0.0 pip spread still adds its commission to the cost.

Exness or HFM: leverage, margin call and stop out

Stop out (the margin level at which positions are closed automatically) differs more than any other setting. Margin call is the earlier warning level.

※ Exness raises the stop out to 100% for stocks in times of increased market risk. The Exness stop out is 20% for clients registered through Exness (KE) Limited and Exness (JO) Limited. Exness leverage can be reduced during high margin requirement periods.

A 0% stop out leaves less room for error

A 0% stop out keeps positions open until the margin level reaches 0%. Losses can grow large before anything closes. The 20% level listed by HFM closes positions earlier.
