You want to trade gold (XAUUSD) at an offshore forex broker, but every broker words its conditions differently, so comparing them is hard.
The short answer is that the broker to check first depends on whether you put spread, maximum leverage or commission first. This site could confirm official gold figures for four brokers: XS, Axi, INFINOX and AXIORY (checked 17 to 20 October 2026).
After reading, you can pick which broker's gold conditions to look at first for the priority you care about.
In short: the gold comparison depends on what you prioritise
- Spread first: read the official wording at XS, Axi and INFINOX. The units differ, so no ranking is given
- Leverage first: AXIORY Max and XS list up to 1:2000 officially
- Commission-free accounts: Standard at XS and Axi, STP at INFINOX, Standard and Max at AXIORY
- Trading hours and contract size: stated officially at XS and INFINOX; not stated for Axi
- At every broker, gold moves fast. Watch the stop out level
Figures come only from each broker's official pages and this site's registered data. Items that could not be confirmed are marked "not stated" or "not confirmed" instead of being guessed. No ranking or recommendation is given.
Gold spread comparison for offshore forex brokers: official wording
The spread is the gap between the buy and sell price. Each broker words it differently, so the size of the number alone cannot rank them.
| Broker / account | Gold spread | Basis of the figure |
|---|---|---|
| XS (the USD 6 round-trip commission row) | 0.87 pips (USD 8.7 per lot) | Average of the previous trading day |
| Axi Standard | From USD 0.18 | Lowest-value guide |
| Axi Pro (Premium on this site) | From USD 0.081 | Lowest-value guide |
| INFINOX STP | From 15 cents | Variable |
| INFINOX ECN | From 8 cents | Variable |
| AXIORY | Not confirmed on this site | No gold in the official cost examples |
※ Pips, dollars and cents are different units, and averages are mixed with "from" values. The figures are shown as the official pages word them, without conversion.
The official XS table does not name the account for the USD 6 row. This site's INFINOX data lists an average of 17 points (STP) and 10 points (ECN), while the official account types page says from 15 cents and 8 cents. The text follows the official page.

Gold leverage comparison for offshore forex brokers: maximum and tiers
| Broker | Maximum on gold | Conditions and tiers |
|---|---|---|
| XS | 1:2000 | With equity of JPY 0 to 800,000. Falls through 8 tiers to 1:10 above JPY 64,000,000. During news releases and weekends, new positions get lower leverage |
| Axi | 1000:1 | Standard account, depending on region. Not stated for Premium and Elite on the official metals page |
| INFINOX | 1:500 | Dynamic leverage on metals. The forex maximum is 1:1000. Tier boundaries not stated |
| AXIORY | Max 1:2000 / other three accounts 1:1000 | When total equity across all live accounts is JPY 300,000 or less (1:1000 up to JPY 500,000 for the other three). Weekends: 1:1000 on all accounts |
Before 25 September 2026, AXIORY gold used a fixed 1:100 whatever the account setting. It is now calculated with the same leverage setting as forex pairs.
At Exness, gold (XAU) pairs are among the symbols eligible for unlimited leverage. On live accounts there are conditions such as equity under USD 5,000, 10 closed orders and 5 lots in total (checked 20 October 2026).
A smaller required margin does not change the profit or loss when the price moves. In AXIORY's official example, one lot of gold (100 ounces) moves about USD 500 when the price moves USD 5.
Gold commission and account types: no commission or commission
| Broker | Commission-free accounts | Accounts with commission |
|---|---|---|
| XS | Standard, Cent | An account with USD 6 round trip per lot exists. The official table does not name it |
| Axi | Standard | Pro (Premium) USD 4.5 round trip, Elite USD 3.5 round trip |
| INFINOX | STP | ECN. A fixed amount per lot; the gold amount is not stated |
| AXIORY | Standard, Max | Nano, Terra. USD 6 round trip per lot |
※ The Axi, INFINOX and AXIORY commissions are forex account data or account-level commissions. Check in the portal's contract specifications whether the same amount applies to gold.
On a commission-free account, the cost is inside the spread. On an account with commission, compare the spread and commission together.
For the XS USD 6 row, one lot costs a USD 8.7 spread plus a USD 6 commission, USD 14.7 in total (calculated by this site from the official table).
Gold trading hours and contract size: some brokers state them, some do not
| Broker | Trading hours | Contract size and minimum |
|---|---|---|
| XS | Monday 01:05 to Friday 23:55 (server time). Closed 00:00 to 00:59 daily | 1 lot = 100 ounces |
| Axi | Not stated on the official metals page | Not stated |
| INFINOX | Sunday 23:00 to Friday 22:00 (GMT), with short daily breaks | From 0.01 lot |
| AXIORY | Not confirmed on this site | 1 lot = 100 ounces (official example) |
Guessing trading hours can lead to orders at times when you cannot trade. Check the contract specifications in the symbol information of the trading platform.

Gold comparison for offshore forex brokers: how to read it by priority
| What you prioritise | What to check first |
|---|---|
| Spread | The XS contract table, Axi Pro (from USD 0.081), INFINOX ECN (from 8 cents). Also look at live prices on the platform |
| Leverage | AXIORY Max (up to 1:2000) and XS (1:2000 at JPY 0 to 800,000). Also check the tiers where leverage falls |
| A clear commission structure | Standard at XS and Axi, STP at INFINOX, Standard and Max at AXIORY |
| Detail in official information | XS and INFINOX, where hours and contract size could be confirmed |
| Trying with a small amount | XS Cent (MT5 only) and XAUUSDc on Exness Standard Cent |
※ This table shows where to check by priority. It is not a ranking. Official figures change, so check the portal before opening an account.
What to check before trading gold, and the risks
- 01Check the account type and commission
Decide between a commission-free account and one with commission. For the latter, look at the spread and commission together.
- 02Read the contract specifications in the platform
Check ounces per lot, the margin rate and the minimum volume. Use this step for items the official page does not state.
- 03Find the leverage for your equity
At XS and AXIORY the cap falls as equity grows. Check the tier table for your own funds.
- 04Set the lot size from the loss you can accept
Work back from the loss you can bear. Do not size trades by how small the required margin is.
Gold moves quickly, and the higher the leverage, the less room there is before the stop out. Forex and CFD trading can lose part or all of your funds.

Frequently asked questions
Q. Which forex broker has the tightest gold spread?
A. Each broker words its spread differently, so they cannot be ranked on one basis. XS shows 0.87 pips (previous-day average), Axi Standard from USD 0.18 and INFINOX STP from 15 cents. Check the live price on the trading platform.
Q. What is the maximum leverage on gold at offshore forex brokers?
A. It differs by broker. The official maximums confirmed are 1:2000 at AXIORY Max and XS, 1000:1 at Axi and 1:500 at INFINOX. At XS and AXIORY the cap falls as equity grows.
Q. Is there a gold account with no trading commission?
A. Yes. Standard at XS and Axi, STP at INFINOX, and Standard and Max at AXIORY have no trading commission. On a commission-free account, the cost is inside the spread.
Q. Do gold trading hours differ between brokers?
A. XS and INFINOX state them officially. XS is Monday 01:05 to Friday 23:55 (server time) and INFINOX is Sunday 23:00 to Friday 22:00 (GMT). Axi's metals page gives no hours and points to its product schedule.
Q. What should I watch when trading gold with high leverage?
A. Raising leverage does not change profit or loss when the price moves. In AXIORY's official example, one lot moves about USD 500 when the price moves USD 5. Set the lot size from the loss you can accept, not from the required margin.
