The MEXC Card (MEXC Global Card) is a Visa-branded virtual card released on 31 August 2026 by MEXC, a crypto exchange listed on this site. You top up the card with USDT from your spot account and pay at Visa merchants or via Apple Pay and Google Pay. The official pages advertise USDT cashback on card spending (4–10% depending on your VVIP tier), a 0% spending fee until 30 September 2026, a 0% FX markup, and a card-exclusive Earn product at 7% APR.
This article organises how the MEXC Card works, its cashback conditions and caps, fees, spending limits, and how to apply, based on MEXC's official page, official Learn articles (published 21 September 2026), and the event page, all checked on 23 September 2026. It then summarises the conditions and excluded regions of the September-only "MEXC Card Invite Fest" (registration deadline 30 September; 10 USDT for invitees) and the points to check before using the card (advanced KYC, supported regions, and tax). It does not recommend using the card or depositing funds, and the exchange may change the conditions without notice.
What is the MEXC Card? A Visa Platinum virtual card (released 31 August 2026)
The MEXC Global Card is MEXC's second Visa card: a Visa Platinum virtual card in a black-and-gold design (official Learn article, published 21 September 2026). The same cashback structure as the existing "MEXC Card (APAC)" applies, and the Global Card is the one promoted in the September Invite Fest. Only a virtual card is currently offered; a physical card is described as "planned for a later stage" (no release date has been announced. MEXC's notice to this site indicates around October–November 2026, subject to change).

The MEXC Card is a top-up card. Payments are taken from the USDT balance you have loaded onto the card, not automatically from your spot or futures balances. You need to move funds to the card before paying, which keeps card money separate from the funds you trade with.
MEXC Card cashback of up to 10%: rates and monthly caps by VVIP tier
Cashback is paid in USDT on settled card spending, and the rate has three tiers based on your MEXC VVIP level (determined by M-Score). The tier you hold at month-end applies to the whole month, and cashback is credited to your spot account by the 15th of the following month. "Up to 10%" is the rate for the top Elite tier, and the monthly cap also differs by tier.
| Tier | M-Score | Cashback rate | Monthly cap |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | 350–599 | 4% | 100 USDT |
| Premier | 600–799 | 6% | 300 USDT |
| Elite | 800+ | 10% | 800 USDT |
※ Applies to the MEXC Global Card and the MEXC Card (APAC). How the M-Score (VVIP level) is calculated is set out in MEXC's VVIP programme rules.
Spending that does not earn cashback
- ATM cash withdrawals
- Transfers to crypto exchanges
- Loading prepaid cards
- Person-to-person transfers
- Tax payments and utility bills
- Gambling-related payments
Refunded, cancelled and disputed transactions are excluded from the spending total, and any cashback already paid on them is deducted. Refunds also affect your tier assessment.
MEXC Card fees: 0% spending fee until 30 September and 0% FX markup
The official Learn article and the official card page list the fees as follows. The "zero fees in September" being promoted refers to a limited-time waiver of the spending (usage) fee, which becomes 1% from 1 October 2026.
| Item | Fee |
|---|---|
| Card issuance fee | Normally USD 20 → USD 0 for a limited time |
| Spending (usage) fee | 0% until 30 September 2026, then 1% |
| Crypto conversion fee | 0% |
| Visa FX markup | 0% |
| Annual fee, inactivity fee, top-up fee | USD 0 |
| Refund fee | None in principle (USD 0.50 per refund if your refund ratio is high) |
※ Fees are subject to change. Check the fee pop-up shown when you apply and the official page for the latest conditions.
The card-exclusive Earn product at 7% APR, separate from cashback
Cardholders are offered a flexible MEXC Earn product at 7% APR as a card-exclusive product. Eligible amounts are 100 to 1,000,000 USDT, interest accrues hourly and is distributed the next day, and funds are designed to be accessible immediately. The official Learn article explains that it "is calculated separately from cashback, and both can be earned independently".
7% APR is the rate shown on the official page as of 23 September 2026, and Earn product rates can change. Earn products are an exchange service and are not covered by any protection comparable to domestic deposit insurance. Do not decide on the rate alone; check the product conditions and how the assets are managed.
How to apply for the MEXC Card: advanced KYC → apply → top up → Apple Pay / Google Pay
- 01Register with MEXC and complete advanced KYC
Advanced KYC verification using a government-issued ID and face verification is mandatory. Your KYC country/region must be one where the card is offered.
- 02Apply from the MEXC Card page
Select the black-and-gold Global Card, confirm the fee pop-up, and enter your name, date of birth, gender, ID details and address. Review usually takes a few minutes, after which the virtual card is issued.
- 03Top up with USDT and activate
Move USDT from your spot account to your fiat account and then to the card (1 to 1,000,000 USDT, no fee, usually within minutes). The first top-up activates the card.
- 04Add it to Apple Pay / Google Pay
Pay contactlessly in store, or enter the card details online. A 3DS (authentication) code is required on your first payment.

September-only "MEXC Card Invite Fest": 20 USDT for the inviter and 10 USDT for the invitee (register by 30 September)
To mark the card launch, MEXC is running the "September-only: MEXC Card Invite Fest" (official event page, checked 23 September 2026). After clicking "Join" on the event page, when a friend who joined through your invite link meets the conditions, both the inviter and the invitee receive a USDT airdrop in their spot account. The rewards can be withdrawn.
| Mission | Conditions | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| Inviter mission | An invited friend meets the "valid invitee" conditions (per friend, no cap) | 20 USDT airdrop per friend |
| Invitee mission | 1) Register a new MEXC account via the invite link 2) Reach a net deposit of at least 100 USDT within 7 days of your first deposit and hold it for at least 24 hours 3) Apply for the MEXC Card for the first time | 10 USDT airdrop |
| Complete your first spot trade | Two sub-tasks (see the event page for details) | 20 USDT airdrop |
※ Net deposit = on-chain deposits (excluding internal transfers) + P2P/fiat purchases − on-chain withdrawals (including internal transfers) − P2P/fiat sales − asset transfers − gift sends. Eligible deposit methods are on-chain deposits, fiat deposits, card deposits, P2P trades and third-party payments; internal transfers and gifts do not count.
- Registration deadline: 30 September 2026 (calculated by this site from the countdown on the event page. No time zone is stated; in Japan time this is expected to be until the early hours of 1 October. Check the page for the exact cut-off)
- Reward distribution: within 3 business days of meeting all conditions, to the spot account (FAQ 5)
- Cap on invite rewards: none (FAQ 4). Can be combined with invite rewards from other MEXC events unless the official event rules state otherwise (FAQ 7)
- Ineligible users: accounts whose KYC is verified as Hong Kong, Malaysia, Macau, overseas Chinese, Pakistan, Sri Lanka or Taiwan. You must reside in a country/region where the MEXC Card can be applied for (FAQ 1)
- The "Pakistan & Sri Lanka exclusive rewards" on the page (25 USDT for the inviter, 10 USDT for the invitee, up to 2,500 USDT) are a separate track for those regions and do not apply to users in Japan
- Main accounts only. Duplicate rewards from the same deposit, trade or invite are paid once, and rewards for the same type of event are paid once. MEXC conducts a risk review before distributing rewards, and abuse such as multiple accounts leads to revocation (terms)

The link above is the event page carrying this site's referral code (the page is in Japanese). Because the invitee mission (10 USDT) requires "a new registration via an invite link", anyone who already has a MEXC account is not eligible. Existing users can take part as inviters by sharing their own invite code.

6 things to check before using the MEXC Card
- Advanced KYC is complete and your KYC country/region is one where the card is offered (you cannot apply from excluded countries/regions)
- In principle one card per verified identity. The card may be automatically cancelled after 10 consecutive failed payments
- The cashback exclusions (ATM, transfers to exchanges, prepaid top-ups, person-to-person transfers, tax, utilities, gambling) and the fact that cashback is clawed back on refunds
- The 0% spending fee is a limited-time offer until 30 September 2026 and becomes 1% from 1 October. The free issuance fee is also limited-time
- Tax: paying with the card uses the USDT (a crypto asset) you loaded, so the difference between your USDT acquisition cost and the yen value at the time of payment is subject to income calculation in Japan (the approach in National Tax Agency Tax Answer No. 1524). Cashback and airdrops received in USDT also count as income at their value when received. Confirm the specific treatment with your tax office or a tax accountant
- A card from an overseas exchange is not covered by Japan's user-protection frameworks under the Payment Services Act or the Instalment Sales Act, unlike domestic credit and prepaid cards. Keep top-ups to what you need
The overseas crypto exchanges listed on this site are not registered with Japan's Financial Services Agency (FSA) as crypto-asset exchange service providers and are outside Japan's domestic user-protection system. Card perks and high cashback rates have no bearing on an exchange's safety or the protection of your assets. Avoid depositing or topping up more than you intend simply to chase a reward.

Frequently asked questions
Q. What is the MEXC Card?
A. It is a Visa Platinum virtual card (the MEXC Global Card) released on 31 August 2026 by the crypto exchange MEXC. You load it with USDT from your spot account and use it for online payments at Visa merchants or contactless payments via Apple Pay / Google Pay. A physical card is planned for later; as of 23 September 2026 only the virtual card is available.
Q. How much cashback does the MEXC Card pay?
A. Cashback is paid in USDT on settled spending in three tiers based on your VVIP level (M-Score): Standard 4% (monthly cap 100 USDT), Premier 6% (cap 300 USDT) and Elite 10% (cap 800 USDT). The tier held at month-end applies to the whole month, and cashback is credited to the spot account by the 15th of the following month. ATM withdrawals, transfers to exchanges, prepaid top-ups, person-to-person transfers, tax, utilities and gambling are excluded.
Q. What are the MEXC Card fees?
A. Per the official information as of 23 September 2026: issuance fee USD 0 for a limited time (normally USD 20), spending (usage) fee 0% until 30 September 2026 and 1% thereafter, crypto conversion fee 0%, Visa FX markup 0%, and no annual or top-up fees. There is no refund fee in principle, but USD 0.50 per refund applies if your refund ratio is high.
Q. Can I apply for the MEXC Card from Japan?
A. Japan is not on the official application exclusion list (United States, China, India, Indonesia, Turkey, Russia), nor among the regions ineligible for the Invite Fest (KYC verified as Hong Kong, Malaysia, Macau, overseas Chinese, Pakistan, Sri Lanka or Taiwan), as checked on 23 September 2026. Final eligibility is determined by your advanced KYC details and the application screen, so check the official page before applying.
Q. How do I get the 10 USDT from the MEXC Card Invite Fest?
A. Register a new MEXC account via an invite link, reach a net deposit of at least 100 USDT within 7 days of your first deposit and hold it for at least 24 hours, then apply for the MEXC Card for the first time. The invitee mission then pays a 10 USDT airdrop to your spot account (within 3 business days of meeting the conditions; withdrawable). You need to click "Join" on the event page, and the registration deadline is 30 September 2026. Anyone who already has a MEXC account cannot be an invitee.
Q. Is paying with the MEXC Card taxable in Japan?
A. Paying with the card uses the USDT (a crypto asset) you loaded, so the difference between your USDT acquisition cost and the yen value at the time of payment is subject to income calculation (the approach in National Tax Agency Tax Answer No. 1524, on gains arising from using crypto assets). Cashback and airdrops received in USDT also count as income at their value when received. Confirm the specific calculation and whether you need to file with your tax office or a tax accountant.
