Axi deposits and withdrawals: fees, processing times, minimums and the return-to-source rule

Axi deposits and withdrawals from the official help centre: fee-free deposits, processing times, the return-to-source rule, no third-party payouts and minimums.

On Axi's Standard account there is no set first deposit; you can start with the payment-method minimum only (USD 30 in crypto, USD 5 via Neteller, USD 10 via Skrill or PayPal, and others). According to the official help centre (checked 26 September 2026), e-wallet and internet banking transfers are credited instantly, while crypto takes 0 to 15 minutes. Withdrawals, however, follow a return-to-source (RTS) principle: funds must go back the same way they came in, and withdrawals to a third party's account are not processed.

This article sets out, as far as Axi's official help centre confirms, the deposit minimums and processing times by method, how deposit fees work, the withdrawal steps, the withdrawal rules (RTS and the ban on third-party withdrawals), how to check withdrawal status and cancellations, and what to check if a withdrawal fails. Your own processing status and the current terms shown in the client portal and by official support take priority.

In short: Axi deposits start from a payment-method minimum, and withdrawals return to the original source

  • Deposits: the Standard account has no set first deposit, only payment-method minimums (USD 30 in crypto, USD 5 via Neteller, USD 10 via Skrill or PayPal, and others). E-wallet and internet banking transfers are credited instantly, crypto in 0 to 15 minutes (official help centre, checked 26 September 2026)
  • Withdrawals: log in to the client portal, open "Funds", then "Withdraw Funds". Available methods are internet or local banking, an e-wallet (Bitwallet) and crypto payments
  • Withdrawals must generally use the same payment method as the deposit, with funds returned to the original source (return to source)
  • Withdrawals can only go to the account holder's own account, and processed or submitted withdrawals cannot be cancelled
Check the risk of trading itself, too

Trading forex and CFDs carries risk, including losses that can exceed your investment. Before checking deposit and withdrawal conditions, it is important to understand the risk of trading itself. Axi deposit methods: minimums and processing times by method

The payment-method minimums listed on our broker page come from information Axi's representative provided to this site (10 September 2026). The Standard account has no set first deposit; only the following method minimums apply.

※ The Premium account requires USD 500 on the first deposit (no minimum afterwards), and the Elite account USD 25,000 (contact support if interested).

According to the official help centre (checked 26 September 2026), e-wallet and internet banking transfers are credited instantly*, and crypto takes 0 to 15 minutes. *Even instant payments may take a few minutes to be credited to the account after processing.

※ *Instant payments may still take a few minutes to be credited after processing. Check the client portal or customer service for details by region.

The official help centre also recommends depositing at least USD 200 to start trading, since the account balance needs to cover the required margin for any open positions.

How Axi deposit fees work: fee-free within Axi's monthly limit

The official help centre (checked 26 September 2026) states: "Axi does not charge a fee for deposits within a set monthly limit." Deposits beyond that limit may be subject to a fee.

  • Intermediary banks or payment providers may apply their own transaction fees (check with your provider beforehand if you are concerned)
  • Crypto deposits require a mining (on-chain) fee. You can set the amount, but wallet specifications may affect how fast it is credited
  • Bank transfers may incur a receiving fee charged by your own bank, which you bear yourself (official fees page)
  • Axi reserves the right to charge an inactivity fee if there is no trading activity or open position for 12 consecutive months or more (see the product schedule for details)
Trading cost on the Standard account

The Standard account does not charge a trading commission; trading cost is built into the spread (official fees page). This is separate from deposit fees, but worth checking alongside them when comparing costs.

How to withdraw from Axi: request from "Funds" in the client portal

Withdrawals are requested from the client portal. The official help centre (checked 26 September 2026) sets out the following steps.

  1. 01
Log in to the client portal

Sign in with your registered email address and password.

  2. 02
    Open the "Funds" tab

Go to the funds management screen from the menu.

  3. 03
    Select "Withdraw Funds"

This takes you to the withdrawal request screen.

  4. 04
    Choose a withdrawal method

Available methods are internet or local banking, an e-wallet (Bitwallet) and crypto payments.

How long a withdrawal takes depends on the method chosen. The minimum withdrawal amount also "depends on the method selected, or on the full balance of the account," and the specific amount by method needs to be checked on Axi's official deposit and withdrawal pages.

Axi's withdrawal rule: return to source, the same method as your deposit

Axi's official help centre states the return-to-source (RTS) principle for withdrawals: "Withdrawals must be made using the same payment method used for the original deposit, and funds must be returned to the original source" (for example, a deposit from a bank account is returned to the same bank account).

  • Crypto withdrawals also follow an RTS policy: you can only withdraw an amount equal to your original deposit using the same method used for that deposit, and profit must be withdrawn through another available method
  • The maximum crypto withdrawal is the equivalent of 300,000 per transaction. RTS is calculated in crypto, not in your MT4 base currency
  • If the amount falls below the minimum withdrawal amount, you must withdraw the full balance of the account
Withdrawals to a third party are not allowed

All withdrawals are processed only to an account in the account holder's own name. Withdrawal requests to a third party are not processed and are cancelled, and if suspicious funding is detected, Axi has the right to refund the sender and hold the balance until identity verification and source-of-funds checks are complete.

Checking withdrawal status and cancellations: processed or submitted withdrawals cannot be reversed

The official help centre (checked 26 September 2026) states that a withdrawal that has been processed or submitted cannot be cancelled. You can check the status of a pending request, along with a reference code, under "Funds" then "Fund Withdrawals" in the client portal.

Example withdrawal statuses (official help centre)

Awaiting account verificationWaiting for identity verification or similar to be completed
Request received / under reviewThe withdrawal request has been received and is being reviewed
Payment verification in progressThe payment side is running its confirmation process
Awaiting processingWaiting for the next processing stage

If anything about a displayed status is unclear, check with customer service.

What to check if you cannot withdraw from Axi

  • Whether identity verification (KYC) is complete — if not, the withdrawal review cannot proceed
  • Whether the withdrawal destination is in the account holder's own name (withdrawals to a third party are not processed and are cancelled)
  • Whether you meet the minimum withdrawal amount for the chosen method (it depends on the method or on the full account balance)
  • If you have deposited by card in the past, whether that card is still valid. If it has expired or been lost or stolen and you need to update your card details, you will need photos of the front (with the middle 8 digits of the number hidden) and back (with the CVV hidden) of the card
A withdrawal can still proceed even if the card cannot be used

As long as the linked bank account is active, the withdrawal proceeds back to the original source (the bank account). If you have no access at all to the original source, contact customer support. Note that credit/debit card deposits are not offered to clients in Japan, so this check only applies to accounts that deposited by card in the past.
